Thomas Joseph Kehoe was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia on August 1, 1866. He was the son of James Kehoe and Catherine Welsh. He served in the 155th Battalian during WWI and was employed as a police constable in the Town of Bancroft in the 1920s. Thomas Kehoe was married to Amelia Vardy and they had 4 children. On July 13, 1929 Kehoe, while on duty, was struck down in the street by an automobile and died at the Bancroft Red Cross Hospital as a result of his injuries. He was just days short of his 64th birthday.
